External Interconnect Cable technical information

External Interconnect Cable (EIC) customers and their approved contractors are required to follow technical specifications, policies and procedures as part of their access agreement.

This information is for Telstra Wholesale EIC Access customers and their approved contractors only and some documents are password protected. Telstra Wholesale account managers will discuss any technical information not covered in these documents.

Account managers can also arrange password access to these documents, or email us to request a password.

Hazard Management - Special Work Locations (SWL) lists. The site lists below include known SWLs for both regional and metro locations, nationally. These locations are regularly updated however, they are only those known SWLs as at the date included at the top of each listing.

If there is any doubt about the status of a particular manhole or pit included in the project, customers should refer to Health, Safety and Environment Framework for Telstra suppliers of services and products (DOC, 555kb) section 4.8.1 Special Work Locations identification and notification or contact their account manager for further clarification.
